Making Your Own Contour

Contour powder can make the face appear smooth and beautiful, providing a canvas for other types of makeup that you like to wear. You can make your own with a few ingredients that you have in the kitchen. You need cocoa powder, corn starch, essential oil and an empty compact container. Put cocoa powder in a bowl, and mix it with corn starch until it looks almost like a cake mix before adding a few drops of your favorite essential oil.

About two teaspoons of the powder and the corn starch is usually enough to make the contour. The corn starch will lighten the powder, so you need to mix in enough until you get the shade that you want on the face. If you have pale skin, then you’ll probably add quite a bit of the starch. Baby powder is also an option.

You can use the mixture like a loose powder, but adding the oil will give it a mesmerizing scent. It will also help the powder cling to the face a bit more. Press the contour mixture to the container. Rubbing alcohol will help to disinfect the face and make it easier to stay in the container without completely sticking. The alcohol will evaporate in a few seconds. Put a paper towel on top of the contour to speed up the process of it drying before using a sponge or a makeup applicator to apply the product to the face. Once the color is blended into the skin, it’ll be lighter than what’s in the container.
